Director's Desk Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Divyangjan, UP, Kanpur, established in 1997, is established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh under the legislation “ The persons with disabilities ( Equal opportunities, protection of right and fully participation ) Act 1995” and recognized under 2 (f) of the UGC act 1956. The aim of the Institute is to provide meaningful education, of the highest standard and to provide leadership in technological innovation. The institute offers three diploma and five undergraduate B. Tech courses. Diploma courses with intake of 40 each are exclusively for disabled whereas 60 % seats are reserved in B.Tech courses each of 60 intake. The entire campus is barrier free especially designed for Divyangs. The institute has already marked its presence as a leading technical institute. Its strengths and standing are best evidenced by the high JEE/ UPSEE ranked students admitted in various programs and well qualified faculty. Hope! The institute with its sustained efforts will be able to achieve greater heights and the work culture, which will be unique and distinct to contribute global vision of inclusive education. It is my privilege to welcome new students of diploma and degree to the institute fraternity in the current academic session. The key of our success depends on the dedication of each individual. We need to work hard for becoming excellence in teaching to compete with other technological institute of the country. I sincerely believe that the students will make the best use of opportunities to develop themselves into complete professionals, entrepreneurs and great human beings.
